NSW: Girl dies from injuries after falling from car
A girl who fell from a car after being forced into it died in hospital yesterday afternoon.
Police say 19-year-old LAHN BUI was apparently dragged into the car about 9.20pm (AEST)
on Thursday while waiting for her boyfriend at Lidcombe in Sydney's west.
Witnesses say the woman was forced into the car, described as a maroon late-model Ford
Falcon sedan, on Swete Street, Lidcombe.
Detective Chief Inspector ARTHUR KATSOGIANNIS, of Flemington Police, says the car turned
a corner and an eyewitness saw her fall from the vehicle on Church Street.
Det Chief Insp KATSOGIANNIS says it's not clear whether she was trying to escape from
the car or if she was forcibly ejected.
The woman suffered severe head injuries and died in intensive care at Westmead Hospital
about 1.20pm yesterday.
Police say anyone with information should contact Auburn Police on 02 9646 8699 or
Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
