EIDOS LICENSES VOXWARE TECHNOLOGY FOR USE WITH ADVANCED VIDEO CODEC

PRINCETON, N.J., July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Voxware, Inc., a developer of innovative voice-processing technologies, today announced that Eidos Technologies has licensed key elements of Voxware's technology, including the Voxware RT24(TM) compressor/decompressor (codec), for use with its digital-video codec.

Eidos Technologies is a U.K.-based company that specializes in developing software-based digital-video codecs for the original- equipment manufacturer (OEM) market. Under the terms of the agreement, Eidos will gain access to the Voxware RT24 codec for use in enhancement of the audio communications capabilities of its digital-video codec, which can be used on standard desktop PCs, game platforms and network computers to support a wide variety of video-based applications, including digital-video television broadcasts, on-line gaming and videoconferencing. Eidos has already incorporated the Voxware RT24 codec into its "videophone" product.
