Swedish IT company Eastpoint AB said on Wednesday (7 March) that its Internet marketing subsidiary Getupdated AB has decided to establish a sales office in the United Kingdom.

The new office, to be located in Covent Garden in central London, will offer Getupdated's full portfolio of services, including affiliate marketing, banner network and search engine marketing.

The office will initially have a staff of eight.

"Internet marketing grows at a rate of 25-40% in England. We have high hopes with this market and we are counting on a higher organic growth than what we currently have. We are searching for suitable candidates so that we can grow at a much faster rate," said Mattias Kaneteg, CEO of Getupdated.

Eastpoint, headquartered in Stockholm in Sweden, provides web production, marketing, web hotel and operating services in Sweden, Norway, the US and the UK. The company has 140 employees and reported a turnover of approximately SEK68m in 2006.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.74 Swedish kronor (SEK).
