NSW:Govt set to expand commission's power to discipline judges=2

Opposition legal affairs spokesman Andrew Tink said the government had not acted quickly
enough to reform the Judicial Commission.

"At the moment there are only two categories of complaint," Mr Tink said.

"One is minor, and that was the way in which Judge Dodd's matter was dealt with, and
the other is serious, which involves ... referral to Parliament for considering of dismissal.

"What I think is missing here is an intermediate level of complaint which allows some
effective, ongoing, compulsory monitoring and/or treatment of this condition and others."
